Kevin Kelley Campaign - Political Campaign Cinematography

Political advertisements tend to all look similar. But we wanted this Cleveland candidate to stand out among the others. Most political commercials are bright with minimal contrast, so I chose to set this candidate apart with cinematic and unique cinematography.

Embracing the grit of real locations in Cleveland, I augmented the natural light to highlight the people of Cleveland. This brought a realism and moody aesthetic to the cinematography in the political advertising campaign.

Shooting with my Atlas anamorphic lenses enhanced the unique visual aesthetic with a wide aspect ratio, cinematic falloff and anamorphic flares. 

The bold, cinematic look for this political advertising campaign received cinematography awards in the AVA Digital Awards and Telly Awards.
